Learn German! We don't have any adverbs. (We do, but they look exactly like adjectives, psst.)

Compared to other languages, German has quite a few adverbs and no, they are not adjectives.

What's the biggest difference between and adverb and an adjective, dr.v?

Hmm, http://www.institut1.de/604AdjektivundAdverbWortartoderSatzglied.html (Vorsicht, ganz schlimmes Philologendeutsch hinterm link.) But, I was of course wrong anyway: almost all adjectives can be used as adverbs and they don't get a silly little -ly appendix, but there are a lot of adverbs that's can't be used as an adjective. I think.

Kommt halt druff an wie du das Adverb definierst, semantisch oder syntaktisch.

    Ja, schwer beeindruckt.
